Tucked within the lower level, in a spot facing the Westin Kierland golf course, this saloon is a cool little pub with a dark, Disneyesque saloon-like interior. We had lunch out in the large courtyard with beautiful views.

Service was friendly and polite. I had hoped for a more extensive menu, but the chopped salad topped with steak was slightly better than average: light dressing, fresh vegetables, and sliced grilled sirloin. Chopped bacon enhanced the flavor and added crispness. Avocado or a smoky chipotle mayo or another source of fat would have taken this salad to another level.

Lunch was ok, but we'll try another spot tomorrow.

When your hungry and you don't have the energy to leave the property, you make the best of what is on the menu.  Looking for something on the lighter side or a salad, I ordered the Southwestern Caesar Salad with Grilled Salmon.

The salmon was cooked to perfection, the greens were crunchy, with charred corn, cornbread croutons, roasted tomatoes with a chipotle caesar dressinig.  It was so damn good that I wanted to lick the bowl!!  This was great for a hotel salad and was quite surprised I didn't go back for more of it everyday and add a different protein.

This dish is worthy of 5 stars, but overall I give this spot a 3.  Good drinks, service and food.  Wish they stayed open later and had better food options.

It's not the most exciting restaurant, but for somewhat affordable (if $17 burgers are affordable!) dining at the Kierland, this is probably one of your best bets. We spent $14 on a salad (that was worth about $7, but tasty) and $17 on a chicken burger and received two free kid meal visits to the buffet, so it made the whole thing worth it.

The food we received was good, but not spectacular. With that said, $40ish for four people, not bad.

We kept seeing people order those nachos and I have to say, they looked amazing. Next time, we're getting nachos and about two entrees and the four of us will be set to go. So good.

If we returned, we'd be up for eating there again because I can't get over how large and in charge those nachos are (see the pics!).

What a fun place! Kenny the bartender made us feel right at home. GREAT margaritas! Wings were fantastic! We kind of stumbled across this little place and really had a great experience.

Great outdoor area to enjoy the view of the golf course and get some fresh air.

Was a guest at the Westin and thought it would be a great idea to get a drink before heading out for dinner. Not sure how the service is inside Waltz & Weiser but outside, it was not that great.

The servers were friendly but the drinks came out extremely late and the glasses were sticky as the drinks were made very sloppy (mine had mango puree all over the outside of my glass). Also, we asked for the check and it came out more than 10 minutes later.

I will most likely not order a drink from them again but will just utilize the sitting area for leisure.
